Katharina Landgraf (born 24 February 1954) is a German politician of theChristian Democratic Union (CDU) who served as a member of theBundestag from the state ofSaxony in 1990 and again from 2005 until 2021.
From1999 until2004, Landgraf served as a member of theState Parliament of Saxony.
Landgraf became a member of the Bundestag in the2005 German federal election.[1] She served on the Committee on Food and Agriculture and in the Committee on Family, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth.[2][3] In addition to her committee assignments, she was part of the German-Korean Parliamentary Friendship Group.
In the negotiations to form aGrand Coalition of Chancellor Angela Merkel's Christian Democrats (CDU together with the BavarianCSU) and theSPD following the2013 federal elections, Landgraf was part of theCDU/CSU delegation in the working group on families, women and equality, led byAnnette Widmann-Mauz andManuela Schwesig.
In June 2020, Landgraf announced that she would not stand in the2021 federal elections but instead resign from active politics by the end of the parliamentary term.[4]
In June 2017, Landgraf voted against Germany's introduction ofsame-sex marriage.[6]
