Australian composer (born 1979)
Kate Moore (born 1979) is an Australian composer currently based in theNetherlands .[ 1] Oxfordshire ,England , and has studied with Australian composersLarry Sitsky ,Jim Cotter , and Michael Smetanin; Dutch composersLouis Andriessen ,Martijn Padding ,Diderik Wagenaar andGilius van Bergeijk ; and attended summer schools including Bang on a Can hosted byDavid Lang ,Julia Wolfe andMichael Gordon and Tanglewood hosted by John Harbison, Michael Gandolfi and Helen Grime.[ 2]
In 2022 Moore was awarded the Gieskes-Strijbis Podiumprijs.[ 3] Matthijs Vermeulen Award from the Netherlands Funds for the Performing Arts FPK for her workThe Dam , in its version for British ensembleIcebreaker .[ 4]
