Kasayapahuda (Kāsāyapahuḍa) (alsoKasayaprabhrta) is one of the oldest canonical text of theDigambara Jains. Another oldest canonical text, theShatkhandagama was written about the same time.[1] Both these texts are held in high esteem by theDigambaras.Kasaya (passions) form the subject matter ofKasayapahuda.
Kasayapahuda was written byAcharya Gunadhara in the 1st century A.D.[2][1]
Kasayapahuda discusses the Jain doctrine ofKarma.[1] TheKasayapahuda is written in verses only.[3]
