Karapakkam is an area of Chennai, inTamil Nadu,India. It is one of the stops on theOld Mahabalipuram Road, or commonly referred to as OMR. It is situated between the IT Hubs ofThoraipakkam andSholinganallur. It is parallel toInjambakkam on the ECR Highway.
Karapakkam, which is a part of theGreater Chennai has a population of about 4,500 people and is home to a number of BPO, IT/ITES companies and other IT/ITES companies such asMahindra Satyam, Pantheon, Scope International,Capgemini,Tata Consultancy Services,Accenture,Cognizant Technology Solutions, Photon Infotech andInfosys, which are situated along theRajiv Gandhi Salai (OMR).
