Kanchi Kaul (born 24 May 1982) is an Indian actress who predominantly appeared inTelugu films andHindi television shows. She is best known for playing Ananya "Anu" Sachdev Samarth in Ek Ladki Anjaani Si,[1] Suhana Seth Thakral in Bhabhi, Soni Khurana inMaayka and Shraddha Shergill Srivastav inEk Nanad Ki Khushiyon Ki Chaabi – Meri Bhabhi.[2]
In 2001, Kanchi Kaul made her debut with the successful Telugu filmSampangi.[3] In 2002, she began work on twoTamil language films,Columbus co-starringRaju Sundaram, andKasthuri Raja'sPaattuchaththam Kedkuthamma. Neither film eventually completed production.[4] Another Tamil film titledViyugam shot in 2004 under the stage name of Spandana, co-starring Hari Bhaskar, was also not released.[5][6]
Kaul met actorShabir Ahluwalia in 2007 on the sets ofBhabhi.[7][8] After a five year relationship, Kaul married Ahluwalia on 27 November 2011.[9] The couple have two sons, Azai (born 23 July 2014) and Ivarr (born 18 February 2016).[10][11] Following the birth of her first child, she took a break from acting.[12]
