TheKamchatka Current is a cold-water current flowing southwestward in theBering Sea, along theSiberianKamchatka Peninsula. It receives water from the Bering Slope Current.[1] A portion of this current then becomes theOyashio Current while the remainder joins the warmerNorth Pacific Current.
