Kallavesi is a medium-sized lake inNorthern Savonia, easternFinland located around the town ofKuopio. Combined with the lakesSuvasvesi,Juurusvesi–Akonvesi,Muuruvesi,Melavesi, andRiistavesi Kallavesi forms an 890 square kilometres (340 sq mi) lake system namedIso-Kalla.[1] Kallavesi is the largest lake in the region and thetenth largest lake in the country.
