TheKalamian languages are a small cluster of languages spoken in the Philippines:Calamian Tagbanwa andAgutaynen. Other languages called Tagbanwa, theAborlan Tagbanwa language andCentral Tagbanwa language are members of thePalawanic languages.
These are among the few languages of the Philippines which continue to be written inindigenous scripts, though mostly for poetry.[citation needed]

The Kalamian languages are a primary branch of thePhilippine language family, notable for reflectingProto-Malayo-Polynesian*q ask and*R asl, while reducing original*k to zero.[1]
