TheKakavijë border crossing (Albanian:Pika kufitare e Kakavijës) (Greek:Κακαβιά) is a major roadborder crossing between southernAlbania and northwesternGreece. On the Albanian side lies the village ofKakavijë, located in theGjirokastër County,Dropull region. On theGreek side lies the village ofKtismata, in theDelvinaki municipality,Ioannina regional unit. The main road fromSarandë andGjirokastër toIoannina passes through this border crossing. TheGreek National Road 22 (GR-22,European route E853) connects Kakavia with theGR-20 atKalpaki.
On August 27, 1923, the Italian generalEnrico Tellini, three of his assistants, and their interpreter fell into an ambush and were assassinated by unknown assailants at Kakavijë, leading to theCorfu incident.
