TheSchouten languages are alinkage ofAustronesian languages in northernPapua New Guinea.[1] They are in contact with variousNorth Papuan languages, particularly theSkou and someTorricelli languages.

They are named after theSchouten Islands of Papua New Guinea.

The Siau family is spoken inSandaun Province. The Kairiru linkage is spoken inEast Sepik Province. The Manam linkage is spoken inMadang Province andWewak Islands Rural LLG ofEast Sepik Province.[2]
