Kadavallur is a village in the north ofThrissur district inKerala,India.[1] This village is the border of Thrissur andMalappuram districts, and is also very close toPalakkad district. It is situated 35 km north-west ofThrissur, 10 km north ofKunnamkulam, 5 km south ofChangaramkulam, 4 km south-west ofChalissery and 14 km south-west ofPattambi.
It has an ancienttemple dedicated toSri Rama. The temple hosts the annual vedic contest calledAnyonyam, which is an important event innamboothiri tradition.
The 29 wooden bracket figures on the outer wall of the Srikoil of the Vishnu temple and other works of art in the same shrine are considered historically important, and it is a protected monument of theArchaeological Survey of India.
