Kabuntalan, officially theMunicipality of Kabuntalan (Maguindanaon:Inged nu Kabuntalan;Tagalog:Bayan ng Kabuntalan), is amunicipality in theprovince ofMaguindanao del Norte,Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 25,439 people.[4]
It is formerly known asTumbao.[6]
The town was part of the province ofShariff Kabunsuan from October 2006 until its nullification by the Supreme Court in July 2008.
Kabuntalan is politically subdivided into 17barangays. Each barangay consists ofpuroks while some havesitios.
