KXTK (1280kHz, "ESPN Radio 1280") is acommercialAMradio station that islicensed toArroyo Grande, California, United States and serves theSan Luis Obispo County, California area. The station is owned by Pacific Coast Media LLC and broadcastssports programming fromESPN Radio.
KXTK is theCentral Coast affiliate of several professional and college sports teams, including theLas Vegas Raiders, theLos Angeles Lakers, and theCal Poly Mustangs.
The station first signed on June 29, 1962, asKCJH.[2] In July 1965, KCJH changed itscall letters toKOAG.[3] In November 1971, the station adopted theKFYV call sign.[4]
The station changed its call letters toKKAL on May 7, 1979. It becameKKOM on March 16, 1999, thenKXTK on September 25, 2002.[5]
KXTK is an affiliate of several professional and collegiate sports teams, providing coverage of their games to the San Luis Obispo County area. The station airs contests involving theLas Vegas Raiders andSan Francisco 49ers of theNational Football League, theLos Angeles Dodgers andSan Francisco Giants ofMajor League Baseball, and theLos Angeles Lakers andGolden State Warriors of theNational Basketball Association. The station also broadcastsCal Poly Mustangs athletic contests in theNCAA as well as NFL football games on Sunday,Monday, andThursday fromWestwood One.
