In recent years,[when?] KUAL has shifted away from a 1950s and 1960s-centered oldies format more towards aclassic hits-leaning 1960s and 1970s oldies format. To reflect these changes, KUAL dropped the "Good Time Oldies" slogan and adopted "The Lakes Greatest Hits" as its new slogan. Sister stationKULO inAlexandria, which closely resembled KUAL format wise, made a similar move, but shifted more towards a 1980s-centered classic hits format.
