KRNX-FM (104.9FM) is a radio station broadcasting acontemporary worship music format. Licensed toRye, Colorado, United States, it serves thePueblo area. The station is owned byEducational Media Foundation, and carries EMF'sAir1 network.

The station signed on in 2008 asregional Mexican station KRYE. In 2020, after goingsilent and becoming KFVR-FM, it joined Air1 as KWRY. The station became KRNX-FM in 2025.

History

The station went on the air in 2008 as KRYE, aregional Mexican station owned by United States CP, LLC.[2] United States CP reached a deal to sell KRYE, along withKGRE-FM inEstes Park, to Greeley Broadcasting Corporation for $1.175 million in 2019.[3] Greeley, owner ofKFVR-FM inBeulah, already operated KRYE and KGRE-FM as "Tigre", sharing the same branding and regional Mexican format asKGRE inGreeley.[4]

By February 2020, the station had changed itscall sign to KFVR-FM and gonesilent; at that time, United States CP reached a new $150,000 deal to sell the station to the Educational Media Foundation (EMF). Under a network affiliation agreement, the station joined Air1 on March 10, 2020.[5] The station's call sign was changed from KWRY to KRNX-FM on February 13, 2025; theKWRY call sign was concurrently moved to sister station KLCX. The KRNX call sign is shared withEMF's AM radio station inFountain, which changed its call sign from KJME on February 27.[6]
