KMZQ 670kHz, ("AM 670 KMZQ") is acommercialAMradio station inLas Vegas, Nevada. The station airs aconservative talkradio format and is owned and operated by Kemp Broadcasting & Digital Media.[2][3]
It was granted by theFederal Communications Commission (FCC) withconstruction permit to decrease its daytimepower to 25,000watts from the original 30,000. It uses adirectional antenna by day. BecauseAM 670 is aclear channel frequency reserved forClass AWSCRChicago, KMZQ must reduce its nighttime power to 600 watts, using anon-directional antenna. Thetransmitter is offU.S. Route 95 at Alamo Road in Las Vegas.[4]
On weekdays, KMZQ has a local news and interview show in morningdrive time hosted by Kevin Wall. The rest of the schedule isnationally syndicated programs:The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show,The Wayne Allyn Root Show,Our American Stories with Lee Habeeb,The O'Reilly Factor with Bill O'Reilly,The Hugh Hewitt Show andRed Eye Radio.
Weekends feature shows on money, health, real estate and repeats of weekday shows. Most hours begin with an update fromTownhall News.
Before it went on the air, the station was assigned the call letters KSXX on October 10, 2003. On October 26, 2004, the station changed its call sign to KBTB and on July 29, 2008 to the current KMZQ.[5] Itsigned on as KMZQ in 2008; 17 years ago (2008).
On March 1, 2018, KMZQ changed fromsports radio to talk, branded as "The Right Talk".[6]
