Košarkaški klub Spartak (Serbian Cyrillic:Кошаркашки клуб Спартак), commonly referred to asSpartak Subotica orSpartak Office Shoes for sponsorship reasons, is a men's professionalbasketballclub based inSubotica,Serbia. They are currently competing in thetop-tierBasketball League of Serbia.
The club was founded in 1945 and was named afterJovan Mikić Spartak, an Olympicathlete fromSubotica, who was killed in 1944.
After finishing at the 7th place in thecanceled 2019–20 season of theSecond League of Serbia (2nd-tier), the club failed to fulfill the League requirements and got relegated to the 4th-tierSecond Regional League for the 2020–21 season.[1][2]
In August 2021, theBasketball Federation of Serbia confirmed a disaffiliation ofFair Play and their merge into Spartak. The club took the Fair Play's spot for the2021–22 Second Serbian League season.[3][4]
