KC Lightfoot[3] (born November 11, 1999) is an Americanpole vaulter. He holds the American record with a clearance of 6.07 m (19 ft 11 in) at the Music City Track Carnival inNashville on June 2, 2023. This broke the record of 6.06 set bySam Kendricks, the 2017 and 2019 World champion, in 2019. Lightfoot now ranks fourth on the world all-time list behind Swedish-AmericanMondo Duplantis (6.27 m, reigning Olympic and world champion), FrenchmanRenaud Lavillenie (6.16 m indoors) and UkrainianSergey Bubka (6.15 m indoors, 6.14 m outdoors). He placed fourth at the2020 Summer Olympics.
