Kongbrailatpam Ibomcha Sharma, popularly known asAbhiram Shaba, is an Indian singer and performer fromManipur, who is known for Sankirtan singing (Nata Sankirtana) ofRaseshwari Pala, a part of the traditionalManipuri dance.[1] His role as Abhiram Shaba in the Manipuri show,Goura Lilas is reported to have earned him the nickname.[2] He is a formerGuru at theJawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy[3] and a recipient of theSangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1981.[4] He was awarded the fourth highest civilian award of thePadma Shri by the Government of India, in 1998.[5]
