K. Avukader Kutty Naha (1920–1988) was an Indian politician and social worker who served as the Minister of Local Administration in variousKerala Governments from 1968 to 1979.[1] As anIndian Union Muslim League minister in the 1967–1969Namboodiripad ministry, Naha oversaw the creation of theMalappuram District in central Kerala (1969).[2] Naha, with ministerM. N. Govindan Nair and official C. K. Kochukoshy, also devised the 'One Lakh Houses' scheme in Kerala (1970–1977Achutha Menon ministry).[3]
Naha was later appointed theDeputy Chief Minister of Kerala (1983–1987) underUnited Democratic Front Chief MinisterK. Karunakaran.[1] He was theIndian Union Muslim League representative to the Kerala Legislative Assembly fromTirurangadi Assembly Constituency (1957–1987).[1]
Naha was born in February 1920 to Kunhikoyamutty Haji.[1] He was married to P. K. Kunhibeebi Umma.[1] He is the father of the former Kerala state Education MinisterP. K. Abdu Rabb (2011–2016).[1]
