The symbol of Jyeshtha is a circularamulet, umbrella, or earring, and it is associated withIndra, chief of the gods. The lord of Jyeshtha isBudha (Mercury). Jyestha is termed in Malayalam asThrikketta and in Tamil asKēttai. The nakshtra is called honorifically asTrikkētta (Tiru + Kētta).[2] Jyeshtha nakshatra corresponds toAntares.[3]
