Justin Marozzi (born 1970) is an English journalist, historian and travel writer.[1]

Biography

Marozzi was a pupil atThe King's School, Canterbury and then studied history atGonville and Caius College, Cambridge.[1] He graduated from theUniversity of Cambridge in 1993 with a starred double first in history.[2] He spent a year studying broadcast journalism atCardiff University before winning aThouron Award in 1994 to study for aMaster's degree inPolitical Science at theUniversity of Pennsylvania.[2][1]

As a journalist, Marozzi worked for theBBC, theFinancial Times and theEconomist.[2] He also writes forThe Spectator[3] and is a Senior Research Fellow in Journalism and the Popular Understanding of History atBuckingham University.[4]

Marozzi is a Fellow of theRoyal Geographical Society and, since 2021, of theRoyal Society of Literature.[2][4] He lives inNorfolk with his wife Julia and their Transylvanian rescue dog.[4] His interests includedeer stalking and classicBristol Cars.[1]
