Jure Balkovec (born 9 September 1994) is a Slovenian professionalfootballer who plays as aleft-back forSüper Lig clubFatih Karagümrük and theSlovenia national team.
In January 2018, Balkovec leftDomžale and signed for ItalianSerie B outfitBari,[2] only to move toHellas Verona after half a year due to Bari's financial collapse.[3]
In September 2020, Balkovec moved to play in Turkey forFatih Karagümrük.[4] In summer 2022, he joined compatriotMiha Mevlja at fellow Turkish sideAlanyaspor.[5][6]
Balkovec made his debut forSlovenia in an October 2018Nations League match againstCyprus, coming on as a 58th-minute substitute forBojan Jokić.[7]
