On June 6, 2017, a bomb explosion outside theJama Masjid, a historic mosque in the western city ofHerat inAfghanistan killed at least 7 civilians, and wounded at least 15 others.[1]
A bomb hidden in arickshaw detonated near theJama Masjid, a 12th-century mosque, killing seven people and injuring at least fifteen more. People were gathering at the mosque forRamadan prayers. TheTaliban denied responsibility for the attack in a statement toAl-Jazeera.[2][3]
