JuneBaby was aSouthern andsoul food[1] restaurant in theRavenna neighborhood ofSeattle, in theU.S. state ofWashington.[2][3] It was owned by head chefEdouardo Jordan.[4]

History

JuneBaby opened in April 2017.[5]

JuneBaby and sister restaurant were closed in June 2021 after its staff quit in response to 15 women who reported allegations of sexual misconduct from Jordan, which was revealed in aSeattle Times investigation.[1]

JuneBaby reopened in January 2022. It closed permanently on December 31, 2023.[5]

Reception

JuneBaby received theJames Beard Foundation Award forBest New Restaurant in 2018.[5][6] It was named toEsquire magazine's 2017 list of Best New Restaurants in America,[7] and was named one ofFood & Wine's ten best restaurants in 2018.[8]
