Jun Jae-Youn orJeon Jae-Yeon (born 9 February 1983) is a South Korean badminton player. Born inPocheon, Jun was part of theKorea National Sport University.[1] She was the champion at the2004 Asian Championships in the women's singles event.[2] She playedbadminton at the 2004 Summer Olympics for South Korea, defeatingCharmaine Reid ofCanada in the first round but losing toCheng Shao-chieh ofChinese Taipei in the round of 16.[3] At the2005 Swiss Open, she was suffered a rupture of the kneecruciate ligament injury at the match againstXu Huaiwen of Germany in the quarter-finals round.[4] Jun also competed at theOlympic Games for the second time at the2008 Beijing and reach in to the third round. She beatKamila Augustyn andChloe Magee in the first and two rounds, but was defeated byZhang Ning in the straight games.[5]
