Julián Bartolo (born 15 April 1996) is an Argentine professionalfootballer who plays as awinger forGreek Super League clubAsteras Tripolis.[4]
Bartolo played in the youth set-up ofLanús, a team he represented at the2016 U-20 Copa Libertadores in Paraguay.[4] On 6 September 2017, Bartolo departed thePrimera División club to move toPrimera B Metropolitana'sSan Miguel.[5][6]Villa San Carlos were the opponents for his professional bow, with the midfielder featuring for the final twenty minutes of a 2–0 victory on 26 September.[4] He was selected in a total of nineteen matches during 2017–18, a campaign in which he scored his first senior goal againstFénix in December.[4] July 2018 saw Bartolo joinGuillermo Brown ofPrimera B Nacional.[4][7]
On 7 August 2020, after a season back in thethird tier withAcassuso, Bartolo joinedSuperleague Greece outfitVolos on a free transfer.[3] He scored his first goal in stoppage time of a 1–1 draw away toPanathinaikos on 24 October.[8] On 30 November, Bartolo scored in a 3–3 away draw againstApollon Smyrnis; his side were three goals down early in the second half, with the midfielder netting the second and assisting the equaliser for fellow Argentine playerRodrigo Colombo, having been substituted on at 3–1 in place of other compatriotNicolás Martínez.[4][9]
In the first two games of the2021–22 season, Bartolo scored helping to wins againstLamia[10] andApollon Smyrnis[11] and a perfect start, which found his team on top of the league table. On 17 October 2021, Bartolo scored a goal and assistedTom van Weert in a spectacular 4–4 away draw againstPAOK, despite his team being down by three goals in the first half.[12]
On 1 July 2022, Bartolo signed a three-year contract withAsteras Tripolis, also in thetop tier.[13] His debut season for the club was difficult, scoring only two goals in 23 games.
He started the2023–24 season scoring in two consecutive games, a 3–0 home win againstOFI[14] and a 3–2 away win againstAris,[15] and assisting another one in his team's first away win overVolos.[16]
