Juan Carlos Rodríguez Moreno (born 19 January 1965), known asJuan Carlos, is a Spanish retired professionalfootballer who played as aleft-back.
Juan Carlos was born in Puente Castro,León. During his career, he representedReal Valladolid (two spells, to kickstart and end his 15-year spell as a professional),Atlético Madrid,[1]FC Barcelona andValencia CF.[2] WithBarça, he started and finished their win againstUC Sampdoria inthe final of the1991–92 European Cup, and was relatively used in three consecutiveLa Liga titles by theCatalans.[3] He played 364 games as a professional, always in the top division, scoring twice in the league while a member of Valladolid.[4][5]
In 2008, Juan Carlos returned to Valladolid, working with the club in directorial capacities.[6]
Juan Carlos earned onecap for theSpain national team, on 17 April 1991. He played the entire match in a 2–0friendly loss withRomania inCáceres.[7]
