Joseph Fornance (October 18, 1804 – November 24, 1852) was an American lawyer and politician who served two terms as aDemocratic member of theU.S. House of Representatives fromPennsylvania from 1839 to 1843.
Joseph Fornance born inLower Merion Township, Pennsylvania. He studied law, was admitted to thebar in 1832, and commenced practice inNorristown, Pennsylvania. He served as president of the council of theBorough of Norristown. He was a member of thePennsylvania House of Representatives in 1834.
Fornance was elected as a Democrat to theTwenty-sixth andTwenty-seventh Congresses. He was not a candidate for renomination in1842.
He resumed the practice of his profession, and died inNorristown in 1852. He was interred inMontgomery Cemetery, inWest Norriton Township, Pennsylvania, nearNorristown.
