Jorge E. Bobone (1901 – October 21, 1958) was an Argentineastronomer.
He performed his work at theObservatorio Nacional Argentino inCórdoba, established in the 1870s[1] byBenjamin Apthorp Gould and now belonging to theUniversidad Nacional de Córdoba.
Between 1928 and 1954 he published multiple papers in theAstronomical Journal and theAstronomische Nachrichten. The majority of his papers were regarding photographic observations ofcomets, theephemerides ofJupiter VI, and someasteroids.
The craterBobone on theMoon[2] and theasteroid2507 Bobone were named after him.[3]
