Jonah Elliss (born April 3, 2003) is an American professionalfootballlinebacker for theDenver Broncos of theNational Football League (NFL). He playedcollege football for theUtah Utes. He is the son of formerDetroit Lions defensive tackleLuther Elliss and has three brothers that also play football:Kaden,Christian, andNoah.
Elliss was born in Rochester Hills, Michigan. He was raised in Utah, Colorado, and Idaho. He attendedMoscow High School.[1] He was named the Inland Empire League Player of the Year as a senior.[2] Elliss was rated a three-star recruit and committed to play college football atUtah.[3]
Elliss played in all 14 of the Utah Utes games during his freshman season and recorded 15 tackles.[4] He was named honorable mentionAll-Pac-12 Conference after recording 26 tackles with six tackles for loss and three sacks as a sophomore.[5][6]

Elliss was selected by theDenver Broncos in the third round, 76th overall, in the2024 NFL draft.[9] During the 2024 season, Elliss recorded five sacks, the third most of any rookie in the league. He was later selected to the2024 PFWA All-Rookie Team.[10] In Denver's Wild Card loss against theBuffalo Bills, Elliss suffered afractured scapula.[11]
Elliss's father,Luther Elliss, played defensive tackle in the NFL for 10 seasons.[12] Three of his older brothers,Kaden,Christian, andNoah played football at Idaho and currently play in the NFL.[13] Elliss has been in a relationship with Kasey Wardle since 2021.[14]
