Johnny Cisneros (born February 5, 1980) is an Americanmixed martial artist who competes in thewelterweight division. A professional competitor since 2010, he has also competed forKing of the Cage andBellator MMA.
Cisneros began his professional MMA career in 2010. He compiled an 8–2 record, competing for promotions such asKing of the Cage and Gladiator Challenge, before beginning his stint inBellator MMA.
In a Catchweight bout, Cisneros lost toMikkel Parlo in his promotional debut atBellator 115 on April 4, 2014, via unanimous decision. Parlo was able to control Cisneros on ground en route to a decision.[1]
In another Catchweight affair and his second bout for the promotion, Cisneros was defeated byRicky Rainey via first-round TKO on October 3, 2014, atBellator 127. Rainey landed a knee to the head, hurting Cisneros and knocking him down, before subsequent hammer fists prompted a stoppage by the referee.[2]
Cisneros defeated Gabriel Miglioli via a unanimous verdict, on August 28, 2015, atBellator 141, thus, recording his first victory inside the promotion.[3]
Cisneros facedAndy Murad atBellator 160 on August 26, 2016.[4] He lost the fight by unanimous decision.
Cisneros next facedCurtis Millender atBellator 170 on January 21, 2017. He lost the fight via TKO in the second round.[5]
Cisneros faced Marlen Magee atBellator 192 on January 20, 2018. He won the fight via submission in the second round.[6]
Cisneros faced Dave Terrel on November 24, 2018 atGolden Boy Promotions: Liddell vs. Ortiz 3. He won the bout via unanimous decision.[7]
Cisneros faced John Mercurio on March 29, 2019 atBellator 219. He lost the bout via majority decision.[8]
Cisneros faced Mike Jasper on September 28, 2019 atBellator 228. He won the bout in the second round after Jasper was unable to continue fighting due to an ankle injury.[9]
