John Wastell

John Wastell (c. 1460c.1518) was an Englishgothic architect and master mason responsible for thefan vaulted ceiling and other features ofKing's College Chapel, Cambridge, the crossing tower (Bell Harry Tower) ofCanterbury Cathedral, and sections of bothManchester andPeterborough cathedrals. He also worked onBury St Edmunds Abbey.[1] In addition he contributed to a number of churches in East Anglia, includingSt Mary's, Saffron Walden.[2]
