John Farr Abbott, sometimesAbbot (1756 – 22 September 1794) was aBritishbarrister. He was a member ofLincoln's Inn, and became a Fellow of theSociety of Antiquaries of London and a Fellow of theRoyal Society. He also served as Clerk of Rules in the Court ofKing's Bench. He died inYork and is buried inYork Minster.[1]
Abbott was born in Abingdon, where he was baptised in 1756.[2]
