John Climping[a] (died 18 May 1262) was a medievalBishop of Chichester.
Climping was a clerk ofRanulf of Wareham by 18 July 1220.[3] By 1232 he was acanon ofChichester Cathedral and was namedArchdeacon of Chichester by December 1242.[4] He was thenChancellor of Chichester by 17 July 1247 as well asrector ofClimping.[5] He was elected to thesee of Chichester on 20 May 1253, and consecrated on 11 January 1254[6] atCanterbury.[1]
Climping died on 18 May 1262.[6]
