John Wilfred Bosa (born January 10, 1964) is an American former professionalfootball player who was adefensive end for three seasons for theMiami Dolphins of theNational Football League (NFL).[1] He playedfootball forKeene High School inKeene, New Hampshire and received a fullathletic scholarship to playcollege football for theBoston College Eagles.

John was selected by the Dolphins in the first round (16th overall) of the1987 NFL draft.[3][4][5][6] His elder son,Joey Bosa, playedcollege football atOhio State University and was selected third overall in the2016 NFL draft by theSan Diego Chargers.[7] His younger son,Nick Bosa, also played college football at Ohio State and was selectedsecond overall in the2019 NFL draft by theSan Francisco 49ers. With that, the Bosas became the third family to have three members drafted in the first round of anNFL draft behind the Matthews and the Mannings.[8]
