Johan Christiaan Pietersen (born 18 May 1984) is a South African formerrugby union player who also played as thefly-half for theSan Diego Legion ofMajor League Rugby (MLR).
He started his career atWestern Province, playing for them in the domesticCurrie Cup andVodacom Cup competitions, as well as representing theStormers inSuper Rugby. In 2010, he joinedBayonne in France, but on 4 Nov 2011, he rejoinedWestern Province on a 2-year deal.[1]
After a second spell in France withBiarritz, he returned to South Africa to joinBloemfontein-based side theFree State Cheetahs in 2014.[2] After just six months, he moved toDurban to join theSharks.[3]
He joined Japanese sideKamaishi Seawaves prior to the 2016–2017 Top East League season.[4]
