James Henry Kanicki (born December 17, 1941) is a formerAmerican footballdefensive tackle in theNational Football League (NFL) for theCleveland Browns andNew York Giants. He playedcollege football atMichigan State University and was selected in the second round of the1963 NFL draft. Kanicki was also selected in the seventh round of the1963 AFL draft by theBuffalo Bills.
Kanicki purchased the Arthur Louis Steel Company ofAshtabula, Ohio in 1985, and still maintains control of the business.
In 2012, theCleveland Plain Dealer named Kanicki one of the Cleveland Browns' 100 best all-time players.
