James Gush (born October 29, 1958)[1] is an Americancollege football coach. He is thedefensive coordinator for theUniversity of the Incarnate Word, a position he has held since 2023. He was the head football coach forGarden City Community College from 1996 to 1998 andNavarro College in 2018.[2][3] He also coached forSouthside High School,[4]Albany,Iowa State,[5]Kansas State,[1][6]SMU,[7]Stony Brook,Baylor,McNeese, andNorth Texas.[8][9] He played college football forBucknell as asafety.[10]
