Jill Lannan is abrigadier general in theAir National Guard.
Lannan was commissioned an officer in theUnited States Army in 1985. She was a Distinguished Graduate of theArmy Reserve Officers' Training Corps.[1] Afterwards, she underwent training atFort Huachuca and was assigned to the25th Infantry Division. She would serve with the9th Infantry Division andI Corps before joining theWashington Air National Guard in 1993.
From 2009 to 2013, Lannan was Vice Commander of the194th Regional Support Wing. In 2013, it was changed to the 194th Wing and she became Commander, holding the position until 2015. That year, she served as Chief of Staff of the Washington Air National Guard before being assigned to theTwenty-Fourth Air Force.
Awards she has received include theLegion of Merit, theMeritorious Service Medal with sixoak leaf clusters, theAir Force Commendation Medal with oak leaf cluster, theArmy Commendation Medal, theNational Defense Service Medal withservice star, theGlobal War on Terrorism Service Medal, theArmy Overseas Service Ribbon, theArmed Forces Reserve Medal with hourglass device and theAir Force Outstanding Unit Award with two oak leaf clusters.
