Jie LuAO (Chinese:路节) is a scientist in the area ofcomputational intelligence and Distinguished Professor at theUniversity of Technology Sydney.
In 2000, Lu earned herPhD fromCurtin University inPerth.[1][2]
She made fundamental contributions in the areas of fuzzy transfer learning,concept drift, data-drivendecision support systems, andrecommender systems.
From 2004 to 2006, she was associate professor, since 2007 she has a full professorship in the Faculty ofEngineering andInformation Technology at the University of Technology.[1][3]
In September 2019 she was awarded with theAustralian Laureate Fellowship.[4]
Lu iseditor-in-chief of the journalKnowledge-Based Systems published byElsevier.
Lu was appointed anOfficer of the Order of Australia in the2023 Australia Day Honours, recognising her contribution to engineering, computer science and artificial intelligence.[5]
