Jiahe County (simplified Chinese:嘉禾县;traditional Chinese:嘉禾縣;pinyin:Jiāhé Xiàn) is acounty inHunan Province, China. It is under the administration ofChenzhou prefecture-level City.
Located on the southern part of the province and the west of Chenzhou, the county is bordered to the northwest byXintian County, to the east and northeast byGuiyang County, to the south byLinwu County, and to the west byLanshan andNingyuan Counties. Jiahe County covers an area of 699.05 km2 (269.90 sq mi), and as of 2015, it had a registered population of 423,900 and a resident population of 317,300.[2] The county has ninetowns and atownship under its jurisdiction, with thecounty seat atZhuquan (珠泉镇).[3]
