Jessica Marie Catherine van Eijs (born 8 August 1981 inNijmegen) is a Dutch politician serving in theHouse of Representatives since 2017 as a member of theDemocrats 66.[1][2][3] In 2012, she joined the municipal council ofEindhoven, and left for the2017 general election. Hard of hearing and understanding ofdeaf community needs, she has called forDutch Sign Language to receive official recognition as a minority language.[4][5]
