Jessica L.P. Weeks is an Americanpolitical scientist. She is Professor and H. Douglas Weaver Chair in Diplomacy and International Relations in the Department of Political Science at theUniversity of Wisconsin-Madison.[1][2]
She is known for her work on the intersection ofdomestic politics andinternational relations.[3][4][5] Her work onaudience costs inauthoritarian regimes is among the most assigned work in international relations graduate training in United States universities.[6]
She has a PhD in political science fromStanford University (2009), a Master’s degree in international history from theGraduate Institute of International and Development Studies (2003), and a B.A. in political science fromOhio State University (2001).[1][2] Her doctoral dissertation was titled "Leaders, Foreign Policy, and Accountability in Non-Democracies" and advised by Kenneth Schultz.[1]
