Jerrion Zawasky Ealy (born August 19, 2000) is an American professionalfootballwide receiver andrunning back. He playedcollege football atOle Miss.

Early life

Ealy attendedJackson Preparatory School inFlowood, Mississippi. During his career, he rushed for over 5,000 yards with 84touchdowns. He was the MVP of the 2019Under Armour All-American Game after rushing for a game record 116 yards and two touchdowns.[1] A five-star recruit, Ealy committed to playcollege football andcollege baseball at theUniversity of Mississippi (Ole Miss).[2]

Also a top baseball recruit, Ealy played in the 2018Under Armour All-America Baseball Game.[3] He was drafted by theArizona Diamondbacks in the 31st round of the2019 Major League Baseball Draft, but did not sign and attended Ole Miss.[4][5]

College career

As a true freshman in football at Ole Miss in 2019, Ealy played in all 12 games. AgainstSoutheastern Louisiana, he set a school record for all-purpose yards in a game with 273.[6][7] Overall he rushed for 722 yards over 104 carries with eight total touchdowns.[8] As a freshman baseball player in 2020, Ealy played in 13 games before the season was suspended due to theCOVID-19 pandemic.

Ealy was signed by theKansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 2022. He was waived on August 30, 2022, and signed to the practice squad the next day.[11][12] He was suspended for six games for aPED violation on October 3, 2022.[13] On January 12, 2023, Ealy was released by the Chiefs following the signing ofPhil Hoskins.[14] Five days later, Ealy was re–signed to fill the vacancy created by the release ofDaniel Wise.[15] He was waived once more on January 28 after the team signedLa'Mical Perine,[16] and re–signed to the practice squad two days later.[17] Ealy won his firstSuper Bowl ring when the Chiefs defeated thePhiladelphia Eagles inSuper Bowl LVII.[18] He signed a reserve/future contract on February 15, 2023.[19]

On August 29, 2023, Ealy was waived by the Chiefs.[20]
