Jeremy Carver is an American television writer and producer. He developed the seriesBeing Human,Frequency, andDoom Patrol. Carver was also a writer and producer on the seriesSupernatural, serving asshowrunner during seasons eight through eleven.
Carver is married to fellow television producer and writerAnna Fricke. They worked as co-developers ofBeing Human from 2011 to 2014.[1][failed verification]
Carver's career began in 2004 when he served as a consulting writer on the failed television pilotFearless, based on the series of novels byFrancine Pascal. In 2006, he wrote an episode of theCBS seriesWaterfront, but the series was cancelled before its premiere and Carver's episode never aired.[2]
In 2007, Carver began work onSupernatural as a writer[3] and story editor.[citation needed] He contributed twelve scripts and became a co-producer during the show's fifth season.[citation needed] TheSupernatural characterChuck Shurley's pen name, "Carver Edlund" was named partially after Carver. He left after three years to work onSyFy'sBeing Human.[3] Carver returned toSupernatural in 2012 as showrunner.[4]
In 2016, Carver leftSupernatural to launch his new showFrequency, based on the2000 film by the same name.[3][5]Frequency ran from 2016 to 2017.
In 2018, Carver was approached byDC Universe producersGreg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter andGeoff Johns to develop the seriesDoom Patrol. It aired its first season in 2019.[6] Carver served as showrunner and executive producer for the show.
In January 2023, Carver joined Christal Henry as a writer on the upcomingPeacemaker spin-off series,Waller, set in theDC Universe.[7]
