Jemalong Shire was alocal government area in theCentral West region ofNew South Wales, Australia.

Jemalong Shire was proclaimed on 7 March 1906.[1] Its offices were based in the town ofForbes, New South Wales.[2]

TheLocal Government Areas Amalgamation Act 1980 saw the amalgamation of Jemalong Shire with theMunicipality of Forbes to formForbes Shire on 1 January 1981.[3]
