Jean Manga Onguéné (born 12 June 1946) is a Cameroonian formerfootballer who played asCentre-forward. He is the1980 African Footballer of the Year.[2][3]
Manga Onguéné spent his whole career atCanon Yaoundé in Cameroon.[1][4]
Manga Onguéné made several appearances for the seniorCameroon national team, including in twoAfrica Cup of Nations in1970 and1972. Also in fourFIFA World Cup qualifying matches.
In 2006, he was selected byCAF as one of the best 200 African football players of the last 50 years.[5]
