Jean-Luc Fugit (French pronunciation:[ʒɑ̃lykfyʒit]; born 27 November 1969) is a French politician who has represented the11th constituency of theRhônedepartment in theNational Assembly since2017.[1] A member ofRenaissance (RE, formerly La République En Marche!), he was reelected in2022 and2024.

Prior to his election to the National Assembly, Fugit was a vice president atJean Monnet University inSaint-Étienne from 2011 to 2017, which he joined as a chemistryresearch fellow in 1996. He was also amunicipal councillor ofLa Grand-Croix,Loire from 2008 to 2013, where he was active for theSocialist Party (PS).[2][3] He has characterised himself as asocial democrat.[4]
