Jayden Ian Bogle (born 27 July 2000) is an English professionalfootballer who plays as aright-back forPremier League clubLeeds United.

Club career

Early career

Bogle started his career at Southcote Colts then went into theyouth set-up atReading, before being released at the age of 14. He then joinedSwindon Тown, playing there for 10 months before joiningDerby County'syouth set-up on 20 January 2016, ahead of leaving full-time education in the summer.[5] After he joined Derby, Bogle mainly featured for the under-18s during the 2016−17 and 2017–18 seasons, with sporadic appearances in the under-23Premier League 2 side.[6] In February 2018, he signed a new contract with Derby until end of the 2018–19 season.[6] At the end of the 2017–18 season, he was promoted to the first team squad ahead of the 2018–19 season.[7]

Under new managerFrank Lampard, Bogle featured regularly for the first team in the2018–19 pre-season; his performance earned the praise of central defenderCurtis Davies who stated that he looked like a "first team player".[8] Bogle featured as an unused substitute in Derby's first game of theChampionship campaign at Reading.[9] He made his senior debut on 14 August 2018, in a 2–0 win atOldham Athletic in a first roundEFL Cup tie, playing the full 90 minutes,[10] when he received praise from Lampard for his performance.[11] On 18 August, Bogle made his league debut starting in the 2–1 loss atMillwall, playing the whole game.[12] He committed his future to Derby County by signing a new four-year contract on 27 September 2018.[13] He scored his first senior goal in a 3–3 draw toBrentford, atGriffin Park.[14]

Sheffield United

On 7 September 2020,Premier League clubSheffield United announced the signing of Bogle on a four-year contract.[15] On 20 December 2020, Bogle scored on his league debut for theBlades as a substitute forRhian Brewster in a 1–1 away draw againstBrighton & Hove Albion.[16]

Leeds United

On 20 July 2024,Championship clubLeeds United announced the signing of Bogle on a four-year contract for an undisclosed fee.[17] On 10 August, he made his league debut for the club in a 3–3 draw againstPortsmouth.[18] On 28 September, Bogle scored his first goal with the club in a 3–0 win againstCoventry City atElland Road.[19]

Bogle recorded a career-high six goals, adding four assists, during the2024–25 season,[20] which saw Leeds get promoted back to thePremier League and win the EFL Championship title.[21] He was voted to the2024–25 EFL Championship Team of the Season, along with teammatesDaniel James andAo Tanaka.[22]

International career

In May 2019, Bogle received his first call up to theEngland U20 squad for the2019 Toulon Tournament[23] and made his debut during the 4–0 win over Guatemala on 11 June 2019.[24]
